Provider Dashboard
VEHRDICT Provider Dashboard
The Provider Dashboard is the landing page you see immediately after signing in to VEHRDICT. In any modern EHR system, a provider dashboard acts as the clinician's personal "home base" — a single screen that brings together the day's schedule, clinical work that needs attention, patient communications, and key performance indicators. Instead of hunting through separate menus to find out what still needs to be done, you can open the dashboard each morning and see, at a glance, exactly where your time and attention are needed that day.
At a Glance: KPI Cards
Across the top of the dashboard you will see a row of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) cards summarizing your current workload. These include the number of appointments scheduled for today, unsigned encounter notes, pending lab orders, lab and diagnostic results waiting for review, unread patient messages, and open tasks assigned to you. Each card is clickable and takes you directly to the full list for that item, so you can jump from a summary count into the actual work with a single click. The goal of these cards is to give you a clear sense of your day's workload the moment you log in.
Today's Schedule and Telehealth Queue
Directly below the KPI cards you will find Today's Schedule, a live view of every patient you are expected to see today along with their appointment time, visit type, and check-in status. A separate Telehealth Queue highlights virtual visits and shows which patients have already checked in and how long they have been waiting, so that you never accidentally leave a patient sitting in the virtual waiting room. From either list you can launch an encounter, start a video visit, or open the patient's chart without leaving the dashboard. An Upcoming Schedule panel extends this view to the next seven days so you can prepare for tomorrow's visits in advance.
Clinical Work Lists
The middle of the dashboard is dedicated to the clinical items that most often need your attention between visits. You will see your personal Tasks, pending Dictations waiting to be transcribed or signed, recent Patient Messages, Encounters still in progress, and Pending Lab Results that need to be reviewed and acted on. Each list is scoped specifically to you as the provider, which means you are only seeing items that are actually assigned to or authored by you — not the entire practice. This keeps the dashboard focused and prevents the noise that often comes with shared inboxes.
Quick Actions and Provider Stats
Finally, the dashboard offers a Quick Actions panel with shortcut buttons for the tasks you perform most often — starting a new encounter, creating an appointment, searching for a patient, or composing a message — so common workflows are never more than one click away. A Provider Stats area summarizes your assigned patient panel and overall appointment volume, giving you a high-level view of your practice. Together with the work lists above, these tools make the Provider Dashboard the central starting point for nearly every task you will perform in VEHRDICT, and most users find that returning to it between patients is the fastest way to stay organized throughout the day.
Tip: Click the VEHRDICT logo or "Home" link at any time to return to your Provider Dashboard from anywhere in the system.
